Bosley

i just started my first night training at Bosley on Brady tonight. it came a lot faster than we expected.. but we're finally working together again! i am still keeping my part time job at Shakers too though- a ton of money i dont want to miss out on. this weekend, we have a group of 150 to 200 people coming in for Hilary Clintons campaign group. as far as i know- so far we only have 4 bartenders. it should be great money- and a ton of chaos. tomorrow, dan and i are gonna go see Barack give a speech in Waukesha. it's free- unlike the one he is doing here in the city. but yeah.. we're looking forward to that. i gotta wake up early for it though- we're leaving at like 10:30. http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/waukesha for tickets if you're interested. we also donated $25 each to his campaign.. yeah- we're pretty big time spenders.. i know, i know. we're getting really excited to move in on March first. we have a u-haul for the second.. we wanna stop in and do some measurements here coming up.. we want to get some rugs and draw out a plan or something for our furniture. we bought a large wall clock today. whoo hoo! new decorations. we're gonna look pretty fancy. it will not stop snowing here in wisconsin. we're lucky brian, our roommate, just bought a condo down the street from here. he's able to park in that parking spot and we're able to park in the parking spot we have in this buildings' lot.. so that way we've avoided being towed for the first winter ever. cant park on our street- or the one parallel.. good thing we'll have a parking spot in a driveway at our new place. dan and i are getting our winter coats dry cleaned right now too, so all we have are our fleeces (which is all he's been wearing this whole winter) last winter, his was in my car with a bottle of wine, and it froze and exploded all over his coat. and a couple nights ago, i got meatballs all over my coat. first time i've ever taken anything to the cleaners. arent they supposed to ask me what is stained on them, in order to figure out how to get it out? 'cos they never asked about the stains. hopefully they get cleaned. mine is a white coat- so that will kinda stick out a bit, ya think? well- go Obama! we're going out for celebratory martinis tonight since we're both at Bosley's. nite!

Fat Tuesday!

hope everyone is having a blast on this Fat Tuesday. but if you're in Wisconsin like me.. doubtful. they're declaring Snow Emergencies all over the state.. i heard originally from 6 to 8 inches over tonight and tomorrow morning, now it is 10 to 14 inches until 3 in the afternoon tomorrow. right now though, it is pretty much raining. ick. Dan and i are heading to Conejitos tonight. not really to celebrate Fat Tuesday- but because i thought i worked tonight, but now i find out that i don't! so we're going out on our continued tradition of "date night" once a week at Conejitos. i know.. how romantic right? smoky atmosphere.. cheesey tunes from the mexican jukebox.. pitcher of margarita.. chips and salsa.. some horrible breath for the rest of the night. but yeah- we love it. we're pretty big time, as you can imagine! we've been going every week for over a year and a half. (two years.. but we have to take out half of one since we were in Door County this past summer) it's great that both of our jobs don't require us to be to work until 4:30 when we're on shift- so i can sleep off my hangover as long as i want. plus- we all know how i love sleeping. most everyday i sleep until noon. sometimes one. sometimes i wake up at 10 or 11.. but not that often. i like to give dan his time to play video games. first it was Madden '08.. but then the Packers lost.. and soon enough the Superbowl was played (by the way.. many kudos to the Giants! whoooo!) so now he went at bought Assassins Creed- and he is addicted. playing it now as a matter of fact. he gets all excited when he learns new skills and all that. he can climb any wall now. way to go =) haha. well- i am gonna go get ready to head over to Conejitoes. Bundle up!

Whoo hoo! only a month to go until we can move into our new place! it's the short month too.. only we still have to add a day for leap year. darn. but we're excited- we just need some stuff to take up all the space! the first is a shot from the dining room towards the front door and living room.. and the second is the house itself. we are on the bottom half- and our front door is on the right. and the last is from the dining room into the living room. big windows =) hardwood floors. if you wanna see more pictures you can always check out dan's at http://www.daninmilwaukee.blogspot.com he has these plus a couple others.
