Snow Snow, GO AWAY

i do not like snow too much. not fun unless you have a sled.. or skis.. or a snowboard.. or snowmobile. and i dont do any of that. dan loves skiing.. he hasnt gone in a couple years.. we're hoping to make it to the big ol' Devils Head sometime coming up. and for me.. i'll wait at the bottom of the hill with some hot cocoa or something. haha. we've just gotta ask off for a couple days in a row. maybe we'll see about next week or something.

January in a Nut Shell

so- it's again been a while since i posted.. i'll start off by saying that dan and i had a great holiday.. visited with a bunch of family members. an alright new years.. we both started new jobs.. he's at Bosley on Brady, and i am at Skakers World Cafe. his is a newer upscale key-western style cuisine- it's a pretty nice place. shakers has been around since the year i was born.. i guess it used to be the hot spot in milwaukee. he's put on dinners for important american figures and dinners where he served african lion. its a cigar bar- so i am always stinky when i come home.. but i make some good money. they have a small menu- but always have other things which arent on the menu- the chef is amazing. tell him you want something spicy- and pasta- with jumbo shrimp- you got it.. for like $45 though. we've also got a new placed all picked out for when we move outta here in march. it's in shorewood.. a couple blocks off capital on woodburn. the landlords live above us and seem really cool. they're a younger couple- late 20's to early 30's.. they have a 13 year old son which should be fine.. we arent loud and obnoxious. its a huge place- clean- open- sunny. huge windows in the living room.. everything i'll need for a kitchen.. it's just so much bigger than this place we're in now.. or any of my past apartments really. i guess the one whitney and i shared might have been bigger- it was a whole house.. but this one seems more cozy. two bedrooms- which will come in handy when we have guests stay over! rather than- sleep on the nasty ratty couch or bring a sleeping bag. haha. i cant wait to decorate and move in! but we still have over a month for that. bummer. we're going over tonight to sign the lease and take pictures and measurements and all that jazz. whoo hoo! we want to try and have a house warming party.. maybe we'll wait until spring when we can have a backyard grillout type thing. who knows. we went and saw an Elvis tribute artist a couple weeks ago with my dad, sisters, and grandma. it was a really fun time. i got serenaded and a scented scarf. i felt so special (though everyone got serenaded and a kiss and a scarf.. haha) i won a free VIP party for me and 20 friends for Jokerz comedy club. great fun, huh? it's where we saw Pauly Shore in december. =) we wanted to try to do the mama mia's reunion for a second time and head to jokerz afterwards. i hope it all works out. i was really looking forward to seeing everyone again last time we tried to plan for this. i'll see a couple of the girls this weekend.. i am going to a baby shower for one old co-worker friend and i'll see a couple others there, too. it'll be a fun time. well- i guess i'll try to keep this thing updated more! talk to ya soon!
