...then i would be able to count on my hands the days until the wedding! =) haha. but then again- then i would have 11 fingers. dont know if that would be so much of a good thing. so.. in the past two weeks.. online alone- we've spent a total of $668.45 on favors, and cake topper, and cake cutters and servers, and unity sand, and centerpieces, and champagne flutes, and a bunch of other way too expensive things i'm told are necessities for a wedding.. here i am thinking i am saving a bunch of money by being thrifty, but no. there is only so much i can do. and blowing glass into a champagne flute is one thing i cant do. nor can i engrave things in steel. can't i just have a backyard bbq? or get married while tailgating at Miller Park? (i'm sure Dan would love that idea!!) haha.. only kidding. i'm looking forward to the wedding. i think it's gonna be as beautiful as it will be a blast.. after that- it's relaxin time for Katie! yay! =)
well, i got my JJ bobblehead the other day. traded a Prince for a Weeks, and a JJ for a Braun =) i'll get 'em all sometime soon! too bad Corey's is the day after the wedding, i dont think i'll be so lucky to get that one. i'll have to find him on eBay.
more bragging about Bosley is due now- go to www.wisn.com and vote for Bosley on Brady in the A-List for seafood. i think we're still winning, but only by a little bit.
and now- i wanna rant about ribbon. since there is basically no where within 2 hours for my cake lady to go where she can get ribbon for our cake, i told her i'd take my color swatch to Michaels here in Milwaukee and get her a spool and bring it to her before the wedding. so- i go way over the Michaels on Brown Deer. i assume they will have a huge selection of ribbon. they do. the only thing is, only a whopping two different shades of green. both- totally off from the clover of the bridesmaids' dresses. so i decide to check two different Walmarts. same thing. 8 million pinks, two greens. two horrible puky greens. so i drive way over by Davids Bridal on the south side, where there is also a JoAnne's in the same shopping center. i figure- they have to have David's Bridal colors of ribbon here. it's a hop, skip, and a jump away. people like me would think to only go to that shop for ribbon to match their dresses if they got their dresses from Davids Bridal next door. it would be a huge business. ribbon for cakes, ribbon for flower girl baskets, ribbon for bridal bouquets, ribbon for bows on chairs and such.. you get the idea. but guess what? this time.. maybe 3 different greens. one over the top blinding green, one green so dark green it is almost black, and one puke green. great. so i buy the blinding green because there is no where else i can think to go. just in case someone out there is reading this who can fix this dilema- do it. i mean, i found a website who made unity sand to match every color swatch David's Bridal has. ribbons should be easier to get to match every color of a dress.. they are fabrics. get on the bandwagon. weddings are a huge money business! (just in case you missed that message a couple paragraphs up.)
well, now i am off to make some programs... i'm so thrifty =)
