wow.. i completely forgot about updating my blog with everything that's been going on. sorry all! well.. things are going great with the wedding. we "created" our wedding cake... all i have left to do with my dress is have my final fitting.. i ordered shoes.. then all of a sudden they are on back-order until a week before the wedding, so that isnt gonna work.. we've made sure tuxes are sent to the shop here in milwaukee.. i think we've made a timeline of some sort.. we have dan's wedding ring already.. and we'll pick up mine tomorrow... all the bridesmaids dresses are ordered.. two left to come in... summers flowergirl dress is all set to be picked up. we've begun picking (and bickering) over wedding songs... bachelor/ette parties are set to finalize with the plans.. bridal shower as well.. lets see.. what else have we been up to? trying to decide on centerpieces and favors for everyone. oh, thanks to everyone for responding to our invites so quickly! it is our favorite time of the day when we see the mailperson come up to our doorstep... then we patiently wait for them to get to the next house and dart to see who gets to open the mail first =) haha. i've been meaning to update the wedding website, but i haven't gotten around to that lately either. i want to put in some more places on the map and more info about the big day. it seems like everyday i am rushing around getting something ready for the wedding, but when the time has gone by- it seems like i havent accomplished anything! haha.. the big stuff is all set- not worried about that. just all the little things that make a wedding a wedding and tie every aspect together. i still need to figure out hair for the bridal party and me.. i dont know of many salons in door county.. but i do think i know how i want my hair done. i'm still confused on what kind of bouquet i want. i already met with our florist, but i keep changing my mind on everything. we'll see what comes out of all these ideas =)
what else is new? well, we went to dan's grandparents this past saturday for a family/friendly get together.. we had a great time. and a great meal! the weather couldn't have turned out better. and i am glad we were able to take a saturday off and make it! thank you Don and Valerie!
so can you belive that the summer is just about half over?! and that means in no time we'll be celebrating at our wedding with you! cant wait!!!!!!
